8th – 12th Grade Student Presentations

• Sexting and cyberbullying
• Acquaintance rape, statutory rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment
• Domestic violence
• Child sexual abuse

Our school presentations are geared to inform students about Tennessee laws and potential legal consequences. We have found that by the time most students reach high school they have heard at least a portion of these topics and “scared straight” or “lecture” formats are not effective for engaging them, and more importantly, challenging and changing their decision making and behaviors. However, learning about the potential legal consequences has proven very effective in helping them to engage. Each presentation is a mix of discussion, videos, and Q&A.
