Trailblazer Fundraising Event

In the fall of 2025, Beth Lowry was reunited with her Creator. As the Founder and Chairperson of the Trailblazer, Beth was a tireless supporter of Tennessee Voices for Victims’ work, coming alongside our agency in its infancy. Beth was one of the people who helped to stabilize Tennessee Voices for Victims; however, her advocacy stretched far beyond her support for our agency. Beth started in this field as a survivor of multiple abusive domestic violence relationships. She knew what women faced as they tried to leave their batterers, and Beth was not afraid to get in the trenches with them, leading them to places of safety, renewal and healing.

As Beth walked with these women, she saw time and again their need for transitional housing. It was a huge gap in services that Beth, in very typical Beth fashion, decided to try to fill. She applied and received a federal grant that allowed her to open the first transitional housing in the Nashville area. Beth ran this agency for years but when health concerns made her look for alternative leadership, the Mary Parish Center stepped in to take on this program that continues serving the community today. Beth’s vision also inspired other agencies in Nashville to look beyond the “shelter” to offer more long-term stability and support for women leaving abusive relationships. Beth was one of those people who left her mark wherever she went. If she loved you, you knew it. If she believed in you, you knew it. If she thought you were wrong, you knew it. Beth was one of those rare people who truly changed the world around her, but she never made her efforts about herself, she just kept looking for the next need to stand with. Beth left behind her two most precious relationships, her husband and her daughter. When you think of Beth, please pray for them.
As of this time, Tennessee Voices for Victims is suspending the Trailblazer.
